One Laptop Version 2 Looks Extraordinary

By Joseph Hunkins at May 20, 2008 0 Comments

The ambitions of the One Laptop Per Child project have helped to launch ultra mobile computing into the mainstream at costs that anybody can afford. Pictures of the version 2 of the OLPC and the new concept were shown off today and the device looks quite remarkable - a cross between the original design and the dual screen Nintendo DS system.

Even more remarkable is the new price point for the new OLPC - $75. Founder Nicolas Negroponte noted that the orginal design has yet to attain the promised $100 price but suggests that the new one, with some time, can attain that remarkable price.
