Position Overview
The Adobe Shared Infrastructure team is responsible for supporting the needs of the diverse ecosystem of applications that extend the Company’s SaaS (software as a service) offerings throughout the channels that Adobe does business. The Product Manager, Adobe Shared Infrastructure, plays a critical role in leading the development of the “back office” services platform responsible for the introduction of integrated services into multiple product lines and businesses. This includes working with each of the teams across the Company, including Acrobat.com, photoshop.com, and the Creative Suite to identify the technologies and capabilities that will facilitate the rapid development and introduction of these services in the market. Having a broad working knowledge to identify the requisite infrastructure, customer experience, and back end requirements while making viable, timely recommendations to a broad set of teams are critical to success. The individual should be knowledgeable in the needs of both the Adobe Shared Infrastructure platform and the user, particularly in the consumer and creative professional segments. Superlative candidates will have an understanding of Adobe products and how they are used as well as a working knowledge of current online services that are used in conjunction with Acrobat.com, photoshop.com and the Creative Suite. This highly visible individual will work across business units with several internal product, business and development teams related to delivering services. Responsibilities · Working cross-functionally, define, develop, and implement a product strategy for the Adobe Share Infrastructure platform web services. Engage with service teams across the Company to align on key capabilities and timelines in support of critical business, product marketing, technical and operational needs. · Own the product development roadmap of the Adobe Shared Infrastructure platform; insure roadmap is aligned to the needs of the both the photoshop.com and Creative Suite businesses · Leveraging industry expertise, apply best practices for platform usage and work cross-functionally with peers to institutionalize and apply these concepts into future product development · Drive the product roadmap and implementation of key business development initiatives, working in tandem with product marketing and business development · Specify and prioritize key requirements to enable the extensibility of the Adobe Shared Infrastructure to enable 3rd party extensibility of the platform · Act as the product champion on issues relating to the development of the Adobe Shared Infrastructure and related services across the Acrobat.com, photoshop.com, and Creative Suite product families Requirements A combination of business, product, technical, and industry knowledge with the ability to drive initiatives through completion is critical, including: · Minimum 8 years of total work experience preferably with experience in both software development and product management · Detailed knowledge of: · Open source application servers and related technologies (Tomcat, etc.) · Knowledge of middleware and enterprise application integration technologies (SAP XI, WebMethods, etc.) · RIA development using Flex/AIR · Security and legal systems common to consumer web services (PCI Compliance, UGC filtering, etc.) · The ideal candidate will have a minimum 5 years of product management experience in online product/desktop software, with a focus on infrastructure/middleware · Comfortable working with both technical and non-technical personnel · Self-starter with vision, ambition, and a passion to succeed in a fast paced environment · Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science or equivalent, MBA a plus This position requires significant organizational skills, outstanding communications and problem-solving skills.
