Engage3, Inc. is bringing a revolutionary solution for the retail marketplace that will forever change the way people shop both online and offline. Our consumer facing solution will help shoppers save money, time and improve the quality of their lives. In concert with our other key executives (with prior success bringing similarly complex technologies to market), the Senior Data Architect is a key leadership position that will work with our team of visionaries, scientific pioneers and industry experts.

We are seeking a world class Data Architect with proven experience across an array of industries, solutions and design challenges. Our solution will bridge the worlds of shopping, social networking, social media, multi-device interaction and personal information management. The ideal candidate has spent their career architecting complex data intensive solutions that bring game changing experiences to market by introducing applications that engage the consumer/shopper.

We are a well funded start-up with offices in downtown San Francisco (1 block from Montgomery BART), a nimble team of star performers and an opportunity to engage the shopper, retail, and manufacturer communities like never before.

You will be responsible for creating the data architecture for our solution in collaboration with our team members. You’ll be interfacing and partnering with retailers and manufacturers to architect a solution to process terabytes of data per retailer. The data will be downloaded via recurring ETL processes and then made available to shoppers in real-time via the web.

We will provide a more detailed overview of both our solution and the opportunity during the interview process.

REQUIREMENTS
5+ years defining and maintaining logical data models, physical data models, data standards, naming conventions, primary key guidelines, and data flow diagrams
5+ years architecting large (terabytes) data intensive solutions
5+ years experience with retail data models
3+ experience w/ MapReduce technologies

PREFERRED
3+ experience defining APIs
3+ years history working with data providers and data vendors
3+ experience developing automated data QA procedures
Strong leadership skills including resource management, project estimation, and project management tools
Ability to analyze and understand complex problems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Highly organized, self motivated, pro-active, and able to plan
Minimum of a B.S in Computer Science or related field
