The Technical Operations Manager is responsible for the live technical operations of all Ping-0 / Flagship games. The manager will lead the team that is responsible for end-to-end monitoring and live support of the production infrastructure 24x7x365. The position calls for a disciplined, creative, well-organized leader to grow and manage our System Administrators.
Responsibilities Include: * Managing the team that provides 24x7x365 support for the production environment, in concert with the hosting provider * Troubleshooting and resolving service problems, working closely with the hosting provider, customer service, and the development team on all issues. * Developing systems to monitor the service status and performance. This includes monitoring the network, hardware, and game software. * Communicating issue status and resolution to the entire organization. * Scheduling and performing all production infrastructure maintenance * Planning and building out of new infrastructure as needed * Plan and execute backup and recovery strategy * Working with international partners to establish their production environments * Provide technical leadership and guidance to staff and other business partners to promote operational excellence. * Provide input and participate in strategic planning sessions. * Working with the development team to develop monitoring and operational tools * Champion continuous process improvement, performance management, and metrics-driven results * Fostering working relationships with key third party vendors Required Skills * 5+ years supporting large-scale (50+ servers) environments with high availability requirements * Expert knowledge of administration of Windows Server environments, PC hardware, datacenter and network hardware * Proven ability to lead a team of SysAdmins * Proven ability establishing departmental policies and procedures, managing workload of operations staff * Strong knowledge of Unix system administration * Strong knowledge of network architecture and security Bonus Points * Knowledge of Active Directory * Database support and administration skills How to Apply
