Dipchand "Deep" Nishar, Director, Product Management, Google Inc.

Deep Nishar, Director, Product Management, Google Inc. As Director of Wireless Products at Google, Deep Nishar develops and implements the product strategy for Google's mobile products worldwide. Prior to Google, Deep worked at Siebel Systems where he was a member of the founding team of the Universal Application Network (UAN) business unit which grew to a $40 million a year run rate in its first year.

Prior to Siebel, Deep founded Patkai Networks, a web services based software integration company. At Patkai, Deep built the product and engineering organizations and drove all of the business operations for the company. Additionally, Deep was an associate at The Boston Consulting Group and also held various product management, marketing, finance and engineering roles at Cummins Engine Company, where he was awarded three patents.

Deep received his Bachelors in Technology with honors from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, where he was awarded the Institute Silver Medal. Deep also received a Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering from University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign and a Masters in Business Administration from Harvard Business School where he graduated with highest honors as a Baker Scholar.


Rob Katcher, Wireless Product Manager, Palm Inc.

Ron Katcher, Wireless Product Manager, Palm Inc.Rob Katcher is currently a Wireless Product Manager at Palm, focusing on next generation devices. Prior to Palm Rob spent three years at startups in mobile data, most recently co-founding M-Pedia Corporation which was pursuing a mobile coupon solution. While at M-Pedia Rob ran all marketing and business development. Prior to that, Rob spearheaded wireless initiatives for Xpherix, where he brought to market an award winning suite of mobile contact, calendar, and email solutions. Rob began his career at Accenture's Telecomm practice and holds a Masters in Computer Science and Entrepreneurship from Princeton.






Ron Mandel, Chief Architect of Developer Products, Openwave Systems Inc.

Ron Mandel is the chief architect of developer products at Openwave Systems Inc. providing tools, support, education and services to the hundreds of thousands of developers on the Openwave platform. He has been responsible for overseeing and coding the Openwave Mobile SDK, development of sample tools and sample applications, technical documentation for developers, and the Application Style Guides for WAP Push, MMS, XHTML/CSS and WML. Ron is a contributing author to Designing Software for the Mobile Context, (published by Springer), as well as WAP Development with WML and WML Script (published by SAMS). He leads a global team that is based in Redwood City, California, Belfast, Northern Ireland, and Rome, Italy. Ron has been leading the Developer Services team at Openwave since early 1999.

Prior to joining Openwave, Ron worked in the Java Software Division of Sun Microsystems from 1995 to 1999, and he has been working with Internet technologies since the 1980's.


Dan Turchin, Chief Executive Officer & Co-Founder, Aeroprise Inc.

Dan Turchin, Chief Executive Officer & Co-Founder, Aeroprise Inc.Dan co-developed Aeroprise's award-winning suite of Mobile Workflow Management products and has overseen the growth of the company into a profitable, recognized leader in the Mobile Workflow Management space. Under Dan's leadership, Aeroprise has garnered widespread praise for having solved problems that delayed the proliferation of enterprise mobile solutions for years. Aeroprise was recently awarded first prize at Mobile Showcase 2005, named a Red Herring 100 finalist and received "Product of the Year" honors in 2004 and 2005 from the customer base of BMC Software.

Dan and team were first prize winners at Garage Technology Ventures' PLANedu National Business Plan Competition in 2000. He founded Kwaish, Inc. which later merged with Aeroprise. Prior to Aeroprise, Dan worked in Strategic Planning at The Walt Disney Company in Burbank, Orlando, and Paris, as an Analyst at Andersen Consulting, and as a Systems Engineer at Searchbutton, Inc.

Dan studied at Oxford University and holds BS and BA degrees from Stanford. He is a frequent contributor to industry publications including Support World magazine.
