It always feels like there is nothing to do in the bay area, despite the fact that, there is a ton to do. Given everyone’s hectic work schedule it impossible to agree on, let alone organize an event that will be of interest to everyone. By the time numerous emails are sent back and forth, and everyone waits around for everyone to reply half the day is gone. Most times everyone ends ups doing nothing.

Well all that is about to change. Lifecrowd, a social activities website, which debuted at the DEMO Fall 2011 conference, lists all types of activities happening in your area. It also helps groups plan those activities online. With Lifecrowd, everyone in the group will be on the same page. All the details will be on the same page. No more emails back and forth and wanting on emails. If you are not with a group you can easily join an existing group in an activity that interests you and meet new people.

Lifecrowd features activities that are organized by experts. It is not a site where anyone can simply organize an event like on Meetup. This approach makes sure the activity are of a certain standard, hence attendees can feel comfortable about what they are signing up for.

“Our emphasis is on quality of experts and content above quantity. We want to give users a way to try something new guided by vetted experts,” said Bong Koh, CEO of Lifecrowd.

The activities on Lifecrowd range from culinary sessions to create sushi rolls, poker gatherings to learn how to count cards, beachside yoga and photography excursions.

Sign up to Lifecrowd and see the activities happening in your area.
