Google is shutting down Slide, and user FURIOUS. Many users have been left empty handed after paying real money for virtual items on Slide.

Slide is the maker of the “SuperPoke!” app, that lets you throw sheep at your friends. Many users prepaid for the game and now they are left with nothing.

They left thousands of users empty handed after spending Real money in virtual items….. in their SuperPoke! Application”, wrote a user.

Slide posted on its blog that usage has been declining and disappointing and hence the reason for the shut down.

Google paid $200 million for Slide. Slide’s founder Max Levchin will will also leave Google. Apparently, many other Slide employees have also resigned.

Google didn’t immediately respond to a request seeking comment.
