Steve Jobs: iResign As CEO Of Apple

By Daya Baran at August 24, 2011 1 Comments    Share

Steve Jobs has resigned as CEO of Apple. Apple shares have been halted after hours and it is not known when trading will resume.

Jobs took a leave of absence from the CEO post earlier this year due to health reasons. Jobs founded Apple 35 years ago in his parents garage and today Apple is the largest company in the world by market capitalization.

The journey that Steve Jobs embarked on with Apple has touched millions of lives. He revolutionized the technology industry several times. In 1976, Steve Jobs introduces the Apple II, in 1984 the Macintosh, 2001 iPod, 2003 iTunes, 2007 iPhone and in 2010 iPad. Today Apple is still at the forefront of the technology and continues to revolutionize it.

Steve Jobs is regarded as the greatest industrialist ever. He is an icon, a legend, an entrepreneur, an inventor, a tech god, a rock star, a genius.

  1. He is only 56 years old (born Feb 24, 1955). That's the most amazing thing about this man. He competed against IBM, Microsoft, HP and other computing greats and came out ahead of them all.
