Fake Apple Store Discovered In China

By Daya Baran at July 20, 2011 1 Comments    Share

You’ve heard of fake Gucci’s for $30 and fake Levi’s for $5 in China. I bet you’ve never heard of this one a fake “Apple Store”. The Financial Times reports that China’s resourceful entrepreneurs have taken counterfeiting (and copyright infringement) to a whole new level with the fake Apple Store. The store is outfitted with a Genius Bar, transparent staircase, blue t-shirted staff and sell everything from iPad’s, iPhones, iPods, iMac and everything else.

Get this, two more fake Apple Stores were discovered within 10 minutes walking distance. Yesterday, Tim Cook, Apple’s COO said China was the single most important growth market for the company. I wonder what he has to say to this.

  1. I like their misspelt version of store: "Stoer".
