Not a joke, TIME magazine’s person of the year for 2010 is Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg. No not Steve Jobs or Julian Assange. I wonder, does TIME want something from Zuckerberg? Some of that monopoly money or is it totally out of touch with our times.

When TIME started in the 1930s it featured prominent figures that altered the course of history. See list below. Lately, it is becoming a joke. I mean why not have Michael Jackson, Justin Bieber or John Lennon then? What about Lady Gaga?

1930s British Raj Mohandas Gandhi

1940s United Kingdom Winston Churchill

1950s France Charles de Gaulle

1960s United States Martin Luther King, Jr.

1970s Iran Ayatollah Khomeini

1980s Soviet Union Mikhail Gorbachev

1990s United States Bill Clinton

2000s Russia Vladimir Putin

2008 United States Barack Obama

2009 United States Ben Bernanke

2010 United States Mark Zuckerberg
