DDos Attacks Explode

DDoS attacks have been in the headlines recently because of attacks against the Wikileaks web site and the retaliatory strikes against MasterCard, Visa, Amazon, Paypal and other entities that severed ties with Wikileaks.

DDoS send artificial traffic to a website and hence prevent legitimate users from access the website or the attacks could focus on denying bandwidth or it could be service or application level attacks that focus on a web or API calls that forces database transaction or calls to slow.

The attackers use botnets to inundate the web service with thousands of clients issuing a steady stream of traffic. More>>
