Yahoo To Launch “Y Connect” Like Facebook

Yahoo plans to roll out a feature called “Y Connect” similar to Facebook Connect.
Y Connect will allow media publishers, web developers and other websites to integrate elements of their services with Yahoo and help drive traffic to its sites.
For website owners, it provide a registration and login system for their users, provides information about their users from Yahoo, it allows their users to more easily share content with their friends is an easy way and helps to drive more traffic to their sites.
Users can simply log into media sites simply by clicking on the Y Connect button. The users’ activity on the media site can easily be shared with contacts on Yahoo.

Features like Y Connect can help Yahoo track the activities of users around the Web, better understand the interests of users and better tailor their advertising offerings to them.
