Woman Travels 200 Miles To Kill Online Commenter

By Daya Baran at October 14, 2010 1 Comments    Share

Here’s a reason to watch what you say about other people online: they might just snap and try to kill you.

Breana Greathouse always let insults and comments about her slide but when Forrest Jamison did so online, she exploded.

Breana Greathouse, 25, jumped in her car and drove several hundred miles from Kansas City, Missouri to Ottumwa, Iowa, to shoot a  Forrest Jamison for posting derogatory comments about her on the Internet.

Fortunately, for Forrest Jamison it ended in failure when she was arrested by Ottumwa police for waving her gun around.

It’s not clear just what Jamison said online to provoke Greathouse to look up his address, arm herself, get in a car, and drive five hours to kill him but here is an example of can happen when you trash someone online. You create a permanent record for that person. Not everyone will take that lightly. There are companies like Reputation Defender that can remove online comments about you online for a fee. If you want to see what people are saying about your business you can use Webrank, our sister company. It is a free services that aggregates comments and reviews about your business.
