HP Sues Mark Hurd Over Oracle Appointment

Hewlett-Packard Co. sued former Chief Executive Officer Mark Hurd on Tuesday, a day after he was named co-president of rival Oracle Corp.

The suit was filed in Superior Court of California in Santa Clara and centers around a confidentiality provision in Mr. Hurd’s exit agreement from H-P.

“Mark Hurd agreed to and signed agreements designed to protect H-P’s trade secrets and confidential information,” a spokeswoman for the Palo Alto, Calif.-based computer maker said. “H-P intends to enforce those agreements.” More>>
