Boeing Using Social Media To Sell Planes

Seriously is that possible? Selling jumbo jets and 747s using Twitter, Facebook and YouTube? Well that is what Boeing thinks – sort of.

They are using social media because “they want to change how they communicate to the outside world permanently and more effectively, using technology”. To me that boils down to selling planes.

The company has set up 3 Twitter accounts, a YouTube channel and a Facebook page. Todd Blecher, Communications Director at Boeing and Bernard Choi, with the Communications Department for Boeing Commercial Airplanes share the company’s strategy and progress with social media. More>>
