The LATimes has an interesting story on the effects of the recession on silicon valley and the surrounding area. The report finds that east of San Francisco, jobless rates go up to 20% and home prices are down as much as 75%. More>>

I think the report is on the Inland areas not far from the Bay area, but not the bay area per se.
