Social media has definitely moved into the boardroom and Cisco knows it. That is why they published a report with the buzz word “social media” to get into the boardroom to sell more switch, routers and software.
Cisco’s Annual Security Report 2009 is heavy on social media and its threats to business. According to the report “The threats and security issues that come with social media aren’t usually caused by vulnerabilities in software.
More commonly, these threats originate from individuals who place an unwarranted amount of “transitive trust” in the safety of these communities.”
