AdKnowledge Buys Social Gaming Platform SocialMedia.com

Some consolidation happening in the social gaming ad space. SocialMedia.com a company that runs ad platforms on apps and games was bought by online performance advertising firm AdKnowledge.

SocialMedia offers a Facebook ad platform that lets application-makers manage, market and make money from their creations. After the acquisition SocialMedia will continue to operate and expand its ad platform for social networks but isĀ  publisher inventory will be transferred to Adknowledge.

AdKnowledge bills itself as the largest privately held advertising network and expect to book $250 million in revenues this year.
