GM Using Web To Spread Propaganda

By Daya Baran at November 18, 2008 0 Comments

GM and the Big Three have set up a Website and launched a video on YouTube to rally support for the $25 billion bailout they are seeking from Congress. Viewers on YouTube rate the video 1.99 stars out of 5, the lowest rated video to crack YouTube’s top 100 this week. This, despite the fact that the the video’s top referrer is a GM-owned site. GM was founded in 1908, has total revenues of $181 billion, debt of $40 billion, and is worth $1.89 billion as of today’s close in contrast Toyota which was founded in 1937, has total revenues of $26 billion, assets of $12 billion, and is worth $100 billion.
